💚The Healthy Bit: Brussels Sprouts 💚

Brussels sprouts are nutrient-dense and offer benefits for heart, gut, and immune health due to their high fiber, vitamins (C, K), minerals (potassium, iron, calcium), and antioxidants (omega-3s), which help with blood sugar, blood pressure, bone strength, and potentially reducing cancer risk. These cruciferous vegetables support healthy digestion, boost immunity, aid in detoxification, and can help with weight management due to being filling and low in calories.

Brussels sprouts can get a bad rap but it really is all in the preparation. Roasting is a great way to eat them. This is just one of many variations. Give them a try!

*An air fryer is referenced in this recipe but Brussels sprouts can also easily be roasted in the oven: 400-425 for 20-30 minutes, depending on size.
